Why fava bean? This protein dissolves significantly better and provides a silky texture – the new formula eliminates the “gritty” consistency of previous vegan protein powders. Vetain's Vegan Protein still contains a blend of several different plant-based protein sources to ensure a balanced amino acid profile. Instead of 5K, it's now 4K – but don’t worry, the complete amino acid profile remains intact.

Monk fruit instead of licorice root: Rethinking natural sweetness

The use of monk fruit instead of licorice root in Vetain's new formula provides a more pleasant sweetness. Monk fruit (also known as Luo Han Guo) is still relatively unknown in the industry (at least in Europe), but it brings exactly what we were looking for: a subtle, pleasant sweetness that highlights the flavor ingredients like Bourbon vanilla much better.

The result? The flavors finally really come into their own. Whether you choose Iced Coffee, Vanilla, Chocolate or choose another variety – you taste exactly what it says on the label.

Nutritional values in detail: What has improved?

The nutritional values of the new Vetain formula also reflect the new composition! The protein content has been adjusted specifically for each variety, and the sugar content is often even lower than before. Additionally, Vetain's new formula contains more fiber depending on the variety. That means: More of what you want, and less of what you don't need.

I'm really not exaggerating when I say the difference is like night and day. Our improved formula provides a more intense taste, an irresistibly creamy texture, and optimized nutritional values – you'll notice it from the very first sip.
The taste is now slightly sweeter and the flavors much more intense, the texture heavenly creamy and less sandy. Thanks to the finely tuned flavor combination, each variety unfolds its full taste potential. By the way: We also fine-tuned all our flavors again and personally tested and improved every single powder until it was a real 10/10.

I've never seen... or tasted anything like this in any other vegan protein powder. Even skeptics now really have no reason to turn back to animal products.

My tip for preparation: The Vegan Protein 2.0 now tastes so good that you can even mix it just with water. Still, it naturally tastes a bit better with plant-based milk – oat or almond milk are my personal favorites.

Why 540g instead of 600g? The challenge of higher volume

Vetain's new formula has more volume than the old one. Unfortunately, this means only 540g, or 18 instead of 20 servings, fit in the can. We know this is frustrating in a time when all package sizes are shrinking anyway – we're sorry about that.

By the way: If your can doesn't arrive completely full, please don't panic – no one has already taken a serving! ;) The powder simply settles a bit during storage and transport, but at the time of production, the cans are really filled to the maximum, we promise.

Why is the protein powder getting more expensive?

Let’s also talk about the price, because I know it’s an important topic. Raw materials, energy, and much more have simply become more expensive recently. This has increased production costs. Honestly, we haven’t adjusted the price yet and have absorbed the extra costs ourselves – so now it’s time for a fair adjustment.

Despite the price increase, we place great importance on continuing to offer you good value for money. Our products consist of high-quality organic ingredients that are carefully selected and sustainably sourced. We also completely avoid artificial additives and rely on vegan recipes – which naturally comes at a price.
