In the new Vetain 2.0 formula, the protein from rice and hemp is replaced with fava bean protein, resulting in better solubility and a creamier consistency. It may sound like a small change at first, but it makes a huge difference in the glass.

Why fava bean? This protein dissolves significantly better and creates a velvety texture - the new formula eliminates the “sandy” consistency of previous vegan protein powders. Vetain Vegan Protein still contains a blend of several different plant-based protein sources to ensure a balanced amino acid profile. It’s 4K instead of 5K now - but don’t worry, the complete amino acid profile remains intact.

Monk fruit instead of licorice root: Rethinking natural sweetness

Using monk fruit instead of licorice root in Vetain’s new formula creates a more pleasant sweetness. Monk fruit (also known as Luo Han Guo) is still relatively unknown in the industry, at least in Europe, but it delivers exactly what we were looking for: a subtle, pleasant sweetness that highlights the flavor-giving ingredients, such as Bourbon vanilla, much better.

The result? The flavors can finally really shine. No matter whether you choose Iced Coffee, Vanilla, Chocolate or choose another variety - you’ll taste exactly what’s on the label.

Nutritional values in detail: What has improved?

The nutritional values of the new Vetain formula also reflect the new composition! The protein content has been adjusted for each variety, and the sugar content is often even lower than before. Vetain’s new formula also contains more fiber, depending on the variety. That means more of what you want and less of what you don’t need.

The flavor is now slightly sweeter and the aromas are much more intense, while the texture is wonderfully creamy and less gritty. Thanks to the finely balanced flavor combination, each variety can fully express its flavor potential. By the way: We also fine-tuned all our flavors and personally tested and improved every single powder until it was a genuine 10/10.

Why 540g instead of 600g? The challenge of increased volume

Vetain’s new formula has more volume than the old one. Unfortunately, this means the tub now holds only 540g, or 18 instead of 20 servings. We know that this is frustrating at a time when pack sizes are already shrinking everywhere - we’re sorry.

By the wayIf your tub doesn’t arrive completely full, please don’t panic - no one has already taken a serving! ;) The powder simply settles a little during storage and transport, but the tubs are genuinely filled to the maximum at the time of production, we promise.

Why is the protein powder becoming more expensive?

Let's also talk about the price, because I know it's an important topic. Raw materials, energy, and much more have simply become more expensive recently. As a result, production costs increased. To be honest, we haven't adjusted the price until now and have borne the additional costs ourselves - so now it's time for a fair adjustment.

Despite the price increase, we place great importance on continuing to offer you good value for money. Our products are made from high-quality organic ingredients that are carefully selected. We also completely avoid artificial additives and use vegan recipes - that naturally comes at a price.
