Sustainability is not a status for us, but an ongoing path. Every decision has a positive and a negative impact – our task is to minimize the negative one. We know: Perfect sustainability is impossible. That's why we focus on Honesty instead of perfection and openly share the steps we are already taking and where we still need to improve.
From the very beginning, one thing was clear: we don't want to flood the world with even more waste – we want to take responsibility. For our community. For the environment. And for a future where sustainability isn't a compromise, but the standard.
We understand sustainability not as a finished goal, but as a journey. Every decision has a positive and a negative impact – our task is to minimize the negative impact and to speak honestly about the challenges.
That's why we've worked closely with innovative packaging manufacturers from the very beginning to find solutions that are as environmentally friendly as possible – even if that often means more effort and higher costs. Our protein and creatine containers, for example, are made of paper and can be recycled with other types of waste paper.
And although it was initially important to us to wrap our bars in paper, after many months we had to honestly admit: the protection wasn't sufficient – this led to damaged bars and unnecessary food waste. That's why we're now using a high-quality monoplastic that is 100% recyclable through standard recycling processes. This allows us to combine freshness, quality, and sustainability in the best possible way – and remain true to our commitment. to do better what can be done better.
Sustainability is never just a question of CO₂. That's why we consciously take a holistic view: on climate protection, resource conservation and the protection of our oceans.
For every product purchased, we plant two mangroves with our partner. EdenProjects.
Mangroves are incredibly productive ecosystems, sequestering on average three to five times more CO₂ than terrestrial forests. Furthermore, mangrove forests, with their numerous roots, provide shelter for animals and vegetation. In this way, we offset a portion of the emissions generated by your order.
For every order, we donate 10 cents to CleanHub – an NGO that collects plastic from rivers and the sea before it enters the ecosystem. In doing so, we contribute to reducing the amount of waste ending up in the oceans.
So far, we have been able to collect over one ton of plastic together – you can track the current status transparently at any time in the Impact Report.
All our packages are shipped with DHL GoGreen shipped. The resulting CO₂ emissions are offset through certified climate protection projects.
But for us, sustainability is more than CO₂ compensation: That's why we also rely on resource-saving solutions for our packaging. Our shipping boxes are made from 75% recycled paper and 25% grass fiber. These require up to 99% less water and 90% less energy than conventional wood pulp. The adhesive tape is also made entirely of paper.
Sustainability is a continuous process in which we learn, adapt, and improve step by step. The following is important to us: No greenwashing promises, but open communication. Therefore, we present our progress transparently and also speak honestly about challenges.
As a manufacturing company, it is inherently difficult to be completely sustainable. Every step of the production process leaves a trace. But that is precisely why we see it as our responsibility to to choose the best possible option in every decision – even if it sometimes means more effort or higher costs.
Our goal is not perfection, but a fair and transparent path that we take together with our community. Because true sustainability only works if we live it together.
