For us, sustainability is not a status symbol, but a long-term commitment. Every decision has a positive and a negative impact—our job is to keep the negative impact as small as possible. We know that perfect sustainability does not exist. That is why we focus on honesty rather than perfection and openly share the steps we are already taking and the areas where we need to improve.
From the very beginning, our mission was clear: we don’t want to flood the world with more waste – we want to take responsibility. For our community. For the environment. And for a future where sustainability isn’t a compromise, but the standard.
We see sustainability not as a final goal, but as an ongoing journey. Every decision has both a positive and a negative impact – our job is to keep the negative as small as possible while being transparent about the challenges along the way.
That’s why, from day one, we’ve been working closely with innovative packaging manufacturers to find solutions that are as environmentally friendly as possible – even when that means more effort and higher costs. For example, our protein and creatine containers are made of paper and can be fully recycled with regular paper waste.
And while it was initially important to us to wrap our bars in paper, we had to admit after several months that the protection wasn’t sufficient – it led to damaged bars and unnecessary food waste. That’s why we now use a high-quality mono-plastic that is 100% recyclable in standard recycling systems. This allows us to combine freshness, quality, and sustainability in the best possible way – while staying true to our mission to improve whatever can be improved.
Sustainability is never just a question of CO₂. That's why we deliberately take a holistic view: climate protection, resource conservation, and protecting our oceans.
For every product purchased, we plant two mangroves together with our partner EdenProjects.
Mangroves are incredibly productive ecosystems and capture on average three to five times more CO₂ than terrestrial forests. In addition, mangrove forests, with their dense root systems, provide vital protection for animals and vegetation. This way, we offset part of the emissions generated by your order.
For every order, we donate 10 cents to CleanHub – an NGO that collects plastic from rivers and oceans before it enters the ecosystem. This helps us prevent more waste from ending up in the oceans.
So far, together we’ve already collected over one ton of plastic – you can track the current progress transparently in the Impact Report at any time.
All our packages are shipped with DHL GoGreen. The CO₂ emissions generated are offset through certified climate protection projects.
But for us, sustainability means more than just CO₂ compensation: that’s why we also use resource-saving solutions for our packaging. Our shipping boxes are made from 75% recycled paper and 25% grass fiber. This material requires up to 99% less water and 90% less energy than conventional wood pulp. Even our tape is made entirely of paper.
Sustainability is a continuous process in which we learn, adapt, and improve step by step. What matters to us is: no greenwashing promises, but open communication. That’s why we share our progress transparently and speak honestly about our challenges.
As a manufacturing company, it’s inherently difficult to be completely sustainable. Every production step leaves a footprint. But that’s exactly why we see it as our responsibility to choose the best possible option with every decision – even if it means more effort or higher costs at times.
Our goal is not perfection, but a fair and transparent journey that we take together with our community. Because real sustainability only works when we live it together.
