    Zubereitung

    1

If you use frozen berries, heat them briefly in a pot on the stove or in the microwave and let them cool before continuing**.
If you have fresh berries, you can go directly to step 2.

    2

If you chose larger berries like strawberries, you can now cut them into bite-sized pieces or lightly mash them with a fork.

    3

Now mix the berries with the other ingredients and stir everything well!

    4

Let your protein porridge stand covered for a few hours or preferably overnight (maximum 10 hours) at room temperature.

    5

Optionally top your porridge just before eating with some dried strawberry slices or fresh berries.

    6

Your protein porridge is ready! Enjoy your meal!

    Recipe Note

Of course, you can use other fruits instead of berries. Then feel free to choose a flavor-matching protein powder – for example with banana flavor or the tropical fruits variety.

My secret tip: This recipe is also perfect for breakfast or brunch with your loved ones. Prepare it relaxed the evening before and impress everyone with this delicious protein porridge.

    About this recipe

I know … nobody really cares about the long texts in recipes. So I'll try to keep it short and give you a few important tips about this recipe in just a few words. And it will be quite interesting – promise.
This protein porridge is not only incredibly delicious and quick to make but also packed with nutrients and supportive of your gut health.

    Why is that?

    • The protein porridge contains active yogurt cultures from the yogurt. During the resting time, fermentation takes place, making the porridge probiotic.

    • Vetain’s protein powder turns a regular porridge into a high-protein porridge!

    • Berries contain many vitamins and antioxidants … plus they give the porridge a nice pink color!

You see, you can easily make a protein-rich porridge yourself. You just have to mix all the ingredients together, wait a bit, and the ideal breakfast is ready, suitable for everyone.
So whether you are looking for a recipe for a post-workout porridge, a protein porridge for weight loss, or just a delicious, quick, and protein-rich breakfast; this recipe is simply perfect.

      Frequently asked questions

Yes, absolutely! The cultures in yogurt are microorganisms - tiny living beings that are not animals or plants. They are considered vegan and are safe for a vegan diet. So you can enjoy your porridge without hesitation or serve it to vegan friends.

During fermentation, living yoghurt cultures convert certain components of the yoghurt into useful substances. Among other things, this creates probiotic bacteria that support your intestinal flora and can contribute to digestive health. In addition, some nutrients become even more available to your body through fermentation.

The protein powder not only makes your porridge more filling, but you also start the day with an extra portion of high-quality protein. Especially in the morning, this helps you keep your energy levels stable and optimally support your muscle metabolism.

Nope. You can easily store the protein porridge in the fridge overnight. However, fermentation takes place more slowly or not at all at cool temperatures. But that doesn't affect the taste - your porridge remains tasty and nutritious.

You can of course heat the porridge - just note that most of the valuable probiotic cultures will be lost. If fermentation is less important to you, there's nothing wrong with enjoying your porridge warm!
You can't conjure up baked porridge in the classic sense (i.e. baked porridge from the oven) with this recipe - but don't worry: a special recipe for it is already being planned!
