High-quality Vitamin D3 and K2 should not contain unnecessary additives like artificial colorants, preservatives, or fillers. Also, make sure it’s free of allergens like lactose, gluten, or soy. Ideally, the product contains only the vitamins D3 and K2, along with a carrier oil like MCT oil for optimal absorption.
Since D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, absorption is improved with a fatty meal. Without fat, the bioavailability is lower, but intake is still possible. If no meal is planned, you can choose a supplement that is already dissolved in a carrier oil to enhance absorption.
It depends on your starting level and dosage. In case of a significant deficiency, it may take several weeks to months before noticeable effects, such as more energy or less susceptibility to infections, appear. For long-term results – such as bone strengthening – regular intake over several months is important.
Theoretically yes, practically difficult. Your body can produce vitamin D3 through sunlight, but factors like season, latitude, skin type, age, and sunscreen affect the amount. Especially in the winter months (particularly in Germany), sunbathing is often not enough, which is why many people have to rely on supplements.

Vitamin K2 ensures that calcium is transported to your bones and teeth, where it's needed. The combination is therefore crucial for maximum safety and the best benefit. You should definitely make sure to take K2 as well – whether through a combination supplement with Vitamin D3 and K2 or through two separate sources is up to you.
