About this recipe
Making high protein brownies has never been this easy and delicious! Our vegan protein brownies are simply the best:
They are suuuuper moist!
Vetain’s protein powder turns the brownies into real protein bombs. Plus, it contains easily digestible and many valuable nutrients.
The kidney beans and nut butter increase the protein content even more! And don’t worry, you won’t notice the bean flavor in the end!
Additionally, nut butters contain fatty acids that are good for your body.

Substitution table
How often do we want to cook a recipe but are missing certain ingredients or don’t like some components? For this case, we have a substitution chart for you so you can adjust the protein brownies recipe however you like! Simply swap individual ingredients as you wish!
Kidney beans → black beans, chickpeas (add a bit more liquid here)
Dates → very ripe bananas, applesauce
Plant-based milk alternative → milk in all forms and varieties, both plant-based and animal-based
Cashew butter → Almond butter, Peanut butter
Chocolate protein powder → other protein powders like vanilla or hazelnut, or simply flour
Raw cocoa → regular cocoa powder
Baking powder with Weinstein → regular baking powder
Our protein brownies are vegan, but of course, you can also use animal-based ingredients if you want!
*Raw cocoa differs from baking cocoa in nutrient content. Raw cocoa is gently processed, unlike baking cocoa, so it still contains many antioxidants and minerals.
**We like to use cream of tartar baking powder because, unlike regular baking powder, it contains no added phosphates.
