Instructions
Add all prepared ingredients to a large bowl and briefly (!) knead them together. The dough may be softer than classic cookie dough. If it’s still too dry, add a little plant-based milk.
Let the protein Christmas cookies dry for at least 1 hour before enjoying. Store leftovers in a cookie tin in a cool, dry place for a few days.
Recipe Note
Making protein Christmas cookies yourself has never been so much fun … or tasted so good! Our recipe for protein Christmas cookies is packed with protein, allowing you to indulge during the holidays while still contributing to your protein intake.
The perfect compromise between Christmas & fitness
The Christmas season isn’t always easy for people who watch their protein intake. Sugary cookies are everywhere – delicious, but not always fitting your nutrition plan. (Small reminder: it’s perfectly fine to take a break from your nutrition plan over Christmas!) Often, you still join in just to be part of the tradition – even if it doesn’t feel great.
This year, you have a choice: Christmas cookies AND protein. Our protein Christmas cookies combine the best of both worlds. Surprise your loved ones with homemade cookies!
Important tips for your protein Christmas cookies
To make sure your protein Christmas cookies turn out perfectly, here are the most important tips & tricks:
Always chill the dough
The dough must chill for at least 60 minutes so it stays stable and easy to roll out. If needed, you can also chill it overnight.Use room-temperature butter
Soft vegan butter combines perfectly with protein powder & cashew butter for a smooth dough.Don’t bake too long
Protein Christmas cookies can dry out quickly, so keep them fairly light in color.Only glaze completely cooled cookies
Otherwise, the glaze will melt. The protein glaze becomes more fluid over time
Mix it slightly thicker and add more protein powder if needed.
