    Instructions

    1 Soak the dates in hot water for about 10 minutes.
    2 Preheat your oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
    3 Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until you have a thick, smooth batter. Make sure your dates are pitted or remove the pits before soaking – your blender will thank you.
    4 Line a baking dish with parchment paper, pour in the batter, and smooth it out. If you like, top with chocolate chips now.

    Into the oven! Bake your protein brownies at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
    Important: The brownies should still feel soft. They will firm up as they cool. Don’t overbake, or you’ll end up with more of a chocolate cake.

    Tip: If your protein brownies start browning on top before the baking time is up, you can cover them with foil.
