Vegan Protein Powder – High Quality & Clean
Protein powders have become a daily staple for many. And besides athletes, more and more non-athletes are also turning to shakes to easily increase their protein intake in everyday life. For good reason: Proteins are one of the three main nutrients and are involved in many processes in our body. For example, they contribute to the increase and maintenance of muscle mass.
Anyone new to the protein game quickly asks: Whey or vegan protein powder? Which protein to buy? A brief explanation: Whey is an animal-based protein powder, while vegan powders avoid animal ingredients and instead rely on plant-based proteins. We at Vetain have chosen the vegan option and developed a delicious vegan protein powder. Besides good nutritional values, something else was very important to us: we want to work sustainably and fairly and use real, natural ingredients.
The big goal was always clear: to develop the best vegan protein powder in the world!
We’ll briefly introduce you to our vision, our motivation, and our products.
Why vegan protein powder?
Why vegan protein powder at all? Whey has already conquered the market?!
Vegan powders are an increasingly popular alternative to animal-based whey for various reasons:
- Minimizing animal suffering: We don’t want animals to suffer for our shakes. We believe that in the 21st century, no animals should be exploited just so we can drink a tasty cocoa with protein. Especially when there is such an easy alternative.
- Vegan diet: Of course, those who follow a vegan diet probably don’t want to use animal-based shakes. As veganism becomes more relevant and more vegans enjoy going to the gym, it’s truly time for a vegan protein powder.
- Digestibility: Some people, like those who are lactose intolerant, simply don’t tolerate dairy products well. For them, vegan options can be a practical alternative.
Admittedly, vegan shakes used to often not taste very good, the texture was terrible, and they often didn’t have the best protein content. But that wasn’t because vegan protein powders are inherently bad, it was simply because much less research and development went into this area. Fortunately, that has changed in recent years, and vegan products can now easily compete with animal-based products. So if someone asks us: "Why vegan protein powder?" we answer "Why not?".
In our article "Which protein powder?" Can you find out which powder suits you and your lifestyle!
Why choose Vetain's vegan protein powder?
Why should you choose Vetain's protein powder? There are several answers to this question:
- Our vegan protein powder is free from artificial additives. Vetain's vegan protein powder contains no artificial sweeteners and instead relies on a natural, mild sweetness and real flavors.
- The high-quality protein powder is made from peas, fava beans, flaxseeds, and pumpkin seeds, which together provide a complete amino acid profile .
- Each ingredient is carefully examined and the vegan protein powder is developed by experts.
- Great values: 30 grams of the powder contain depending on the variety more than 19 and up to 22 grams of protein.
- We produce our vegan protein powder without soy and gluten . So you can use it even if you are allergic to soy or looking for a gluten-free protein powder.
- We have already been able to excite over 200,000 customers with our products. Will you be one of them soon?
- It is – obviously – vegan and stands for a fair lifestyle.
One thing we need to briefly address: the taste of our vegan protein powder. Because it is different from what you might know from animal-based whey products. The reason? Our powders contain natural ingredients that simply bring a slight natural taste, which can be surprising at first. We also rely on natural flavors & sweetness, which taste less intense compared to artificial flavors and strong sweeteners. We also notice with our customers that it often just takes a little time for the taste buds to adjust and for natural flavors to be perceived more strongly again. Often our taste buds have become "numb" from strong flavors and extremely sweetened products. So give yourself a little time to get used to the new, real taste and to taste natural flavors again. For the transition, you can help with a banana or some fruits in the shake.

Vegan protein powder – usage The most well-known way to consume protein powder is in the form of a shake, as you know from whey protein powder. Of course, you can do exactly that with our vegan protein powder. You can either shake it creamy in a shaker
or even just stir it with a spoon – yes, that works because our natural protein powder dissolves really well. Vegan milk alternatives or water are perfect for mixing the (in our opinion) best protein shakes. But that’s not all: besides regular vegan protein shakes, you can also use our powder for delicious recipes like a or Protein Tiramisu use. Vetains Vegan Protein can even be used for baking compared to many other powders, so you can easily make vegan protein bars, a protein cheesecake or even protein rolls to bake. Protein powders with sweeteners like sucralose can potentially produce unwanted substances when heated strongly – but not with our Vegan Protein. More about this in our blog post: Can you heat protein powder?
With Vetains Vegan Protein, you can easily integrate proteins into your daily diet. Feel free to check out our vegan recipes and get inspired.
By the way: In our blog, we explain how much protein powder per day is recommended by experts.
Who is our vegan protein powder suitable for?
The short answer: Theoretically for everyone. Whether you are vegan or a meat eater doesn’t matter at all. Because plant-based protein is basically an option for anyone interested in protein powders. Vegan protein powders are often prematurely dismissed as nonsense or a disgusting alternative, but that is by no means the case. For many (including non-vegans), our products have even proven to be a more popular alternative, and some of our customers were previously strong whey advocates.
To make our vegan protein powder a suitable choice for as many people as possible, we avoid soy and many other allergens in our powders. We know that many of you have issues with these, so we simply remove them from our ingredient list. For the same reasons, the powder is also gluten-free. So it is also an option for people with gluten intolerance.

Vegan protein – can it really be good?
Passionate athletes know that with protein powder, besides a high protein content, the amino acid profile also matters. Amino acids are the building blocks of all proteins. The goal of all protein fans is always to achieve a "complete amino acid profile," which means all essential amino acids (EAAs) are consumed. Essential amino acids are those that our body cannot (sufficiently) produce on its own. Whey naturally has a complete amino acid profile. Many vegan protein powders are initially much worse off here: very few vegan protein sources contain all essential amino acids. But at Vetain, we know this and solve the problem: we combine different plant protein sources whose properties perfectly complement each other. As a result, our plant-based protein powder has a complete amino acid profile!
